Advising Network Advisor Award Nomination

December 7, 2004

Dear Friends:

The Advising Network at the University of Kansas believes in the importance of recognizing academic advisors who have made contributions to student success and the campus community. Last year we were able to award three outstanding academic advisors who have contributed greatly to advising at the University of Kansas. We again want to congratulate our 2003-2004 recipients; Stan Loeb (Environmental Studies), Emily Malin (Freshman-Sophomore Advising Center), Gretchen Heasty (Academic Programs for Excellence)

Attached you will find nomination forms and a list of awards to be given. We urge you to nominate any individual you believe to be outstanding in their work with students. You may nominate as many individuals as you wish.

It is very important that you include as much information as possible about your nominees; selections will be made on the basis of the information you provide. Nomination forms are due by 5:00 p.m., March 15, 2005. We will need support letters by April 15, 2005. Please share this information with colleagues and students who may know or work with an outstanding advisor.

Students who nominate an advisor will not have to gather the information together. We would be happy to do that so please feel free to just include your letter of support and we will work on getting the other material needed for a full application.

Contact Bridget Bradley in CLAS Undergraduate Services at 864-3500 or bbradley@ku.edu, if you would like further information or need additional forms. We look forward to honoring many outstanding advisors in our campus community.

Sincerely,

Bridget Bradley
